Mission "Obamlished" and other installations, political, artistic and otherwise.

Mission Obamlished is part of the work of a group calling themselves "TXTual Healing"

Recently found poking around as I am apt to do looking for pertinent info and brain food to feed to my hungry studio students - and also in the un-die-ing attempt to show that architecture is an act of beyond mear spatial intervention....butt one which can evoke reaction, political, social, artistic or otherwise.

Besides the more-than-pun-worthy name, the allusions to great musical healing, and the tech. interaction there is a ton of interesting possibilities contained on a single cellphone/computer/projector trailer al pulled behind a bicycle (and that's always a good thing).

I'm just bummed to learn after the fact that they were here in Philly and I didn't get to see it - or text to it - myself.

Check it out here.

International Experiments in Architectural Overhauls, after a long summer moving onwards

This blog has been around long enough, scrabbling parts and pieces together with it's sister projects and interests. All summer it's been on hiatus and, I promise you, while the updates have been slow I've been gathering fuel for the fire. Now the challenge is to write some decent posts and organize these jumbles of links.

There is a reason why the picture above looks like a massive rebuilt engine piston, and [warning: profound architecture word] simultaneously a sizable collection of kegs - this has been a long time in the making and is going to require a lot of work and a supply of my 'magical blend' of choice.

But you don't have to take my word for it...

...which would beg the question: "Why do Hipsters drink cheap beer?"

MANIFESTATIONS II

the f'ing best thing i've seen in a long time: click, look, be amazed!it's international, it's experimental, it's architecture - that's what we're all about. http://zulmiradesign.blogspot.com/
